RBMS 2015 has four fantastic workshops lined up for conference attendees. The workshops meet on Tuesday and while most of them are full, there are two, I repeat TWO spots left in “A Multi-Faceted Exploration of Digital Exhibitions for Special Collections Libraries,” presented by Jason Kovari, Head of Metadata Services, Cornell University; and Jessica Lacher-Feldman, Head of Special Collections, Hill Memorial Library, Louisiana State University.
Jason and Jessica have a wealth of knowledge on the topic.
Jason facilitates the RBMS Digital Special Collections discussion group, co-facilitated the online course on digital exhibits hosted by the Exhibition Awards Committee (March-May 2011) and is former RBMS Web Editor.
Since 2006, Jessica has taught a full-day workshop on exhibits in archives and special collections for the Society of American Archivists, and is the author of the monograph “Exhibits in Archives and Special Collections Libraries,” published by the Society of American Archivists in 2013.
Both Jason and Jessica are former members of the RBMS Katharine Kyes Leab and Daniel J. Leab American Book Prices Current Awards for exhibition catalogs and digital exhibits, and taught the Digital Exhibitions workshop at the 2013 RBMS Preconference.
